Long live sustainability!
The spanish quotes were easy to find, shirts that met our requierments, however, was mucho más complicado. When we started Poca Boca, we spent days and days finding the perfect t-shirt: good quality, sustainable and comfortable. Aquí we’d like to tell you what this exactly means, so you will enjoy your pieces of Poca Boca even more.
Our items are made with respect for people and the environment, because we believe that this is the only way to be able to make productos bonitos for a long time, that people will enjoy wearing with a good feeling.
The factories where our items are made are all GOTS-certified (those few letras stand for the Global Organic Textile Standard label) and are all checked by the Fair Wear Foundation.
Organic cotton
Our clothes consist for the main part of cotton. The cotton we use is totalmente produced organic. Furthermore, the cotton is grown without the use of chemicals (no fertilizer or pesticides) and gracias a the preference for crop rotation, the soil remains healthier, more fertile and more humid. The remains of the cotton separation process are recycled into animal feed. For the farmers in the cotton fields, the conditions in the production of sustainable cotton are also much better and healthier.
Sometimes our cotton is mixed with polyester. This is then manufactured on the basis of recycled polyester and thus contributes considerably to the circular economy. Environmentally friendly: check!
